Hazard always present in our workplace whether it is low risk, medium risk or high risk it is a requirement for us to identify it and manage the risks. Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment and Risk Control (HIRARC) have become fundamental to the practice of planning, management and the operation of day to day operation. HIRARC is deem as proactive way of managing hazard and risk at workplace, so we will able to control the identified hazard before it causes accident. This training program will give the participant skill and knowledge on how to develop HIRARC based on activities at workplace. This HIRARC is part of regulatory requirement under Occupational Health & Safety Act 1994 and a pre-requirement for OHSAS 18001, MS1722 and ISO 45001 management system certification
OBJECTIVE OF THE COURSE
- Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to:
- Understand different types of hazards that presence in the work place
- Learn how to effectively identify hazards in the workplace
- Understand the occupational hazard groups and the health risks that certain workplace hazard pose
- Evaluate and risk assessment associated with the identified hazards and make recommendations on eliminating or reducing the risks of these hazards
- Determine the appropriate control measures and measure the effectiveness of the control measures taken
- Making the workplace safer and compliance to the legal requirement
