The primary contractor must appoint a site safety supervisor under Regulation 25 (1) of the Factories and Machinery (Building Operations and Works of Engineering Construction) (Safety) Regulations 1986 [BOWEC]. The site safety supervisor’s tasks include:

Under Regulation 25 (1) of the Factories and Machinery (Building Operations and Works of Engineering Construction) (Safety) Regulations 1986 (BOWEC), the main contractor must hire a site safety supervisor to oversee the safety of construction activities on the site.
